Terms of Service

Welcome to Rhome. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rhome platform, website, and services operated by Rhome Exchange Inc. ("Rhome," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding contracts to use the Rhome platform. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.

3. Platform Services

Rhome provides a technology platform for co-ownership of residential real estate. Our services include, but are not limited to:

Property search and discovery
Group formation and member matching
Pre-qualification facilitation with lending partners
Trust-based co-ownership structuring
Ongoing property management and governance
Swap marketplace for member relocation

4. Financial Terms

Rhome charges an asset management fee, repair reserve contributions, and swap fees as described on our Pricing page. All fees are subject to the terms of your co-ownership agreement. Mortgage, tax, insurance, and other homeownership costs are separate from Rhome's fees.

5. Pre-Qualification

The pre-qualification process conducted through the Rhome platform is preliminary and does not constitute a binding loan commitment. Final lending decisions are made by our lending partners based on their own underwriting criteria.

6. Co-Ownership Agreement

Participation in a Rhome co-ownership arrangement is governed by the applicable Trust Agreement and Co-Ownership Agreement, which are separate from these Terms. Those agreements contain the specific rights, obligations, and protections of co-owners.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
Provide false or misleading information
Interfere with the operation of the platform
Attempt to access other users' accounts
Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the platform

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Rhome platform are owned by Rhome Exchange Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

9. Disclaimers

The Rhome platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of property listings, market valuations, or financial projections. Rhome is not a lender, insurer, or licensed broker. We facilitate connections with licensed professionals.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rhome shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time. Termination of your platform account does not affect any active co-ownership arrangements, which are governed by separate agreements.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
